If you are interested in having The Global Corner visit your classroom, talk to your Principal to schedule a visit - or to find out if a visit has already been scheduled.
Once the visit is scheduled, you can prepare your class for the "Passport to Egypt" by visiting this website for activities that teach about Egypt, a Phrase of the Week that allows you to learn Arabic, and lots of links to Egypt-related activities.
Check back each week since we update the site frequently. If you have an interesting activity that teaches about Egypt, send it to us via the "Contact Us" page and we may add it to the website!
Teacher reviews:
"As a Spanish teacher I found this program delightful, informative, educational. I was so happy for my students to participate. The presenters were warm, lively, and enthusiastic. I would highly recommend this excellent program and look forward to future presentations." Paulett Drasutis, Spanish Teacher, Creative Learning Academy
"I think that the program is awesome. The children loved it. I loved it, and the people teaching it seemed to love it. Thank you so much for coming to our school. It was a pleasure to have you."
"I cannot thank you enough for sharing the world with us. You are an amazing team of teachers!!! My children and I always learn new and exciting things about our world. You are making a difference at Yniestra. It's significant when you hear first graders talk about your presentations throughout the school year and make connections to their own lives. Please come back!!!"
"I LOVED the program! My students loved it too!"
"Our students and teachers greatly benefited from The Global Corner visit. Most of them had no prior knowledge of Spain and this provided much knowledge for the culture and an appreciation for the people and heritage and a connection to our city. Thanks for all you do!!"
"The Spanish experience is one the children will not forget. The facilitators were excellent speakers and the children learned so much."
"We really enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to your return! Thank you!"
"This is better than a field trip!"
"The students LOVED the culture, art and music!! They are still trying to practice some of their Spanish words."
