Now there is a way to ensure that they will. The Global Corner is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing countries and cultures alive for elementary school children. Each year The Global Corner will focus on one country and sponsor a variety of activities that will spark the natural curiosity of your children and bring the world to life, right in their classrooms.

Based in Pensacola, Florida, The Global Corner provides age-appropriate activities for elementary school children to help them understand the arts, language, literature, customs, culture and food of other countries. Each school year, we focus on bringing one country to life. In 2008-09, the focus country is Spain. Our teachers and volunteers keep the students involved with hands-on activities that are designed not only to help them understand the world around them, but also help them learn and meet Florida's Grade Level Expectations.

Children will participate in each activity and will learn vocabulary words, customs, songs, dances, and much, much more. Our Mission
The Global Corner is an international learning center dedicated to teaching the children of Northwest Florida about world cultures.  Using age-appropriate activities, we promote understanding of other cultures through the arts, language, geography, cultural traditions and the food of other nations. A different country is highlighted each year as we "Bring the World to Life – One Child at a Time."

Our five inaugural year teachers are returning for our Focus on Spain.  They are Finley Holmes, Jodie Miller, Maria Nelson, Tammy Jones, and Lisa Pfister.
